Lo and behold, months after the meeting and that's exactly what's happening with Woodbridge Pacific: NOTHING. The City of Palm Springs tells me that Woodbridge wanted to change the materials to be used for some of the designs, changes which the planning officer refused. Instead he advised them to refer the matter to the Architectural Advisory Board. Since then, week in and week out, there have been no plans submitted to the City for these changes. No new plans, mean no new decision, and that ladies and gents is where things stand yet again: stalled, stagnant and inactive.
In the meantime the disturbed ground from the underground work has posed a health hazard to local residents on windy days. Complaints by locals including myself resulted in the City insisting that Woodbridge implement more effective dust control measures, which they have responded to with new dust fencing and a coating on the ground. Whether the measures work we'll only know on the next windy day. Fingers crossed!
