Some of the details of the proposal:
- Site size: 12.38 acres - a little larger than the Cameron project on the opposite side of S. Palm Canyon Drive.
- Proposed development: 60 single family residences, and 20 live-work units, making a total of 80 units, somewhat less than the 80+22 = 102 residential units of the Cameron Project, and without the 15,000 sq ft of retail space of that development, so, in all, a less dense development.
What is not mentioned though is any proposal for the adjacent Magruder building.
- This meeting is being held at the suggestion of the City of Palm Springs and
- The organizers, Pacific Group, are not the owners of the land. The owners are Palm Canyon 65 LLC who have submitted the proposed development plans on behalf of Pacific Group with the expressed intent of selling the land to Pacific Group or some new entity then created by both parties, to build the development once the City has agreed to an outline development.
