After lying empty for many years investors acquired and renovated the building on the corner of S. Random Road and E. San Lorenzo Road which opened as Random Haus in 2013 and operated as both a hotel, where furnished units could be rented for one or more days at prices from up to over $700 per night or where, for around $60,000, a four-week fractional ownership of a unit could be secured for part of a year. This business model and pricing plan were based on what the managers asserted at the time was detailed research and consulting advice by experts in this type of property. However many locals were surprised by what they felt was high pricing and a source close to the managers tells us that only one fractional unit was ever sold.
It appears now that a more realistic approach is being taken. Most of the units are between 1,100 to 1,300 sq.ft. and will be offered fully furnished with a car port and additional parking space from $369,000. All are single story except for one two-story unit comprising 2,200 sq ft which is expected to be priced at $599,000. HOA fees are expected to be $350per month.
Show units will be viewable and a sales office will operate on the premises M-F 10am-4pm. Expect details to be made public from January 5th. and an Open House to be held on January 10th. Until escrow is opened on of all the units the premises will still continue to be run as a hotel.
